Gallery Common では、3月8日から4月6日まで、アーティスト Shohei Takasakiによる個展「Couch on the Hill (the tower will fall in two weeks)」を開催いたします。

Gallery Commonでは2022年以来、三度目の個展となります。現在シドニーを拠点とするアーティストShohei Takasakiは、異なる文化圏における生活体験を背景に、さまざまな時代や地域に由来するイメージを抽出し組み合わせるコラージュ的な技法を用いながら、常に視覚（ヴィジュアル）を優先する姿勢を取り続けてきました。フォーヴやキュビズムなど広汎な美術史を参照しつつも、特定の立場や一義的な物語からは距離を取るアプローチは、あたかもファッションが自己表象とその隠蔽を同時に行いながら更新されるように、常に解釈のゆらぎの上で流動的に変化し続ける視覚の特質を際立たせています。
